A Stunning Winter Wedding at The Newhall Mansion

We are no strangers to photographing weddings at Newhall Mansion, and after photographing so many there, we were so thrilled to be chosen to photograph Catie and Tommy’s wedding last Saturday. Newhall Mansion is one of the premier Los Angeles Wedding Venues, and we often get to work with some of our favorite wedding vendors at this venue as well.

Their Story

Catie and Tommy have been married for over 10 years. Their first wedding, however, never had a ceremony. This wedding saw so many people that were close to them come into the town of Piru to watch them say their vows once again. Don’t be fooled though, even though these two have been together for so long, the wedding did not lack a single moment of emotion.

The Venue

We are lucky to photograph many weddings at the Newhall Mansion, and every time we do we try to find new ways to tell our couple’s story. The venue features beautiful architecture and has a team of amazing staff including an extraordinary chef that serves up dishes that every wedding guest will love. The venue has a beautiful bridal suite, along with a tavern in the basement also known as the “Man Cave.” The venue is unique in that couples rent it for the weekend, rather than an individual day. I can truly say that every wedding we have photographed here has always been stress-free.

Their Wedding Vendors

We had the opportunity to work with some of our favorite vendors for this wedding. DJ Billy from Oh Watta Night Entertainment always makes it easy to capture great moments during receptions. Charmaine’s Bouquet Canyon Florist has over 40 years of experience in florals and is well known in The Santa Clarita Valley. It goes without saying that Tricia Dahlgren Events is one of the most organized wedding planners in Los Angeles. We have had the opportunity to work with her and her team on nearly 75 weddings together over the years. Each one of them exemplifies her team’s professionalism and commitment to their clients. I can’t say enough good things about Jill’s Cake Creations. Jill is a talented artist and one of the kindest people we know.
