We have been teasing you with previews from Pearl and Jeff’s wedding back at the end of July. Pearl and Jeff were a special couple to us. They were one of the first couple’s to book their wedding with us early last year when we first started our wedding photography business in Santa Clarita. They have been two of the coolest people that we have ever had the privilege of working with. We drove out to San Diego back in January to photograph their engagement at Coronado Beach, where they had their first date. Pearl and Jeff decided to tie the knot at Heritage Square Museum in Oxnard California, about 20 minutes north of Thousand Oaks. Their wedding was beautiful with vibrant bursts of color. I absolutely loved Pearl’s orange bouquet. As you can see below, I could not photograph it enough. Jeff’s best man stole the show with his speech. Michael and I could hardly keep our cameras steady because we were laughing so much.
Now while the wedding was fabulous in it’s own right, Pearl absolutely stole the show. She was one of the most beautiful brides that we have ever seen. Her and Jeff fit so perfectly together, and getting them to “smize” was not hard at all. One thing that blew us away was their first dance. Pearl and Jeff had been taking dance classes and practicing every day for this moment (Their first dance song was “From this Moment,” by Shania Twain, no pun intended). Once we saw those dance moves we knew we were going to capture some great moments.
During the reception we stole Pearl and Jeff outside to take some bridal portraits. People sometimes do not realize how beautiful nighttime can be for wedding portraits. Once I remembered “the dip” that they showcased during their first dance, I made sure that we put their skills to good use with creative wedding photography.
Congratulations Pearl and Jeff and thank you so much for trusting us to capture these amazing moments for you.
