Ok, I admit it, I was scared. Timelines, clips, razor tools, and oh yes, audio synchronization. Video is plain scary for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing. I learned the ins and outs of Photoshop fairly quickly, but video never came easy to me. Still I understand how important video is in the photography industry’s future, and not to mention the number of “photo and video” inquiries we get each week.
There has been a solution, in 2012 it was called Fusion, and now in the industry, we call it Hybrid Photography. While this was not our first time creating a hybrid piece, we know how important these techniques are to our clients. Photography is evolving….again…..quickly. Our commitment to you, our clients, is that we will always be improving and finding new ways to offer you a unique way to tell your story. We will start with Hybrid, and see where it leads.
Well, today, it lead to me learning the (very basics) of video editing software, so I could create our first ever video blog. Truthfully in retrospect (6 hours longer than the editing should have taken) it wasn’t that difficult. I believe video is extremely important for us to be able to connect with you, so today we are launching our video blog. Jen and I will be creating these on a bi-weekly basis so we can bring you some extremely useful advice. We will be having guest speakers, tips, tricks, and unique perspectives on planning your wedding.
For the photographers out there we will also be offering video tutorials on how we shoot, edit, and conduct our business. I have received much help from you in the process of building our business, and it is my turn to give back in whatever way I can. We are finalizing the details of our first workshop to be given in September of this year and we can’t be more excited!!
I hope you guys enjoy this video! We will have more for you soon!
