Skirball Cultural Center Wedding | Jeff and Rachel

Jeff and Rachel are two amazing people, both inside and out.  It is rare that we don’t get to know people prior to their wedding day.  Jeff and Rachel both live in New York City.  They got married at Skirball Cultural Center in front of approximately 300 of their closest family and friends.  If you have followed our blog for a while, you will remember the saying in Italian “Sposa Bagnata, Sposa Fortunata,” which means, “A Wet Bride is a Lucky Bride.”  In other words, rain on your wedding day is good luck!

Skirball Cultural Center Wedding Venue

This Skirball Cultural Center Wedding day was no exception.  LA’s weather patterns have been all over the place this year, with lots of rain, and we had a lot of it on Rachel and Jeff’s wedding day.  We were lucky however to sneak out for their first look and portraits prior to the rain starting.  We had a great experience shooting at Skirball Cultural Center again, which is one of our favorite Los Angeles Wedding Venues to shoot at.  This wedding had a fun reception, with beautiful lighting and decor, and was one that we will remember forever.

The venue is unique in that you are able to fit many people, and it is multi-tiered.  One of the things that I loved most about this venue was the gorgeous lighting done by Coastal Event Lighting.  The hora got crazy, and was tons of fun to photograph.  The hora is one of my favorite parts about photographing Jewish weddings because you can feel the energy and emotion throughout the venue.
